STUDENT CONFERENCE GRANT APPLICATION
The CLASS Dean’s Office and the Academic Affairs Committee (AAC) are committed to promoting student research and presentations.
We invite applications for student conference grants. For graduate students, the maximum grant award is $1000 and for undergraduates, it is $500.00. Priority is given to students presenting at academic conferences. We also partially fund travel for courses and group presentations. Faculty may apply for travel funds to offset the cost of student travel that meets course learning objectives. The maximum grant award for course grants is $5000.
Grant applications must be sponsored by a faculty member, who agrees to guide the student(s) through the UOG travel authorization and clearance processes. The University Travel Policy must be followed for the use of Travel Grant funds.
The AAC will review applications and make recommendations to the Dean and Associate Dean. Priority consideration will be given to applications received by the deadline (indicated on the website). Applications will continue to be accepted and reviewed after the deadline, if resources permit.
